市政署持續推廣市政狗房犬貓領養服務，與動保團體每月合辦一場犬貓領養分享講座，有意參加者可透過“一戶通”平台報名，了解領養程序及養寵知識，並可與待領養動物互動，共同推動領養代替購買。

講座由市政署及人人流浪狗澳門義工團合辦，將介紹澳門市政狗房的領養服務、養寵家居安全設置、醫療護理常識，以及《動物保護法》法律知識等，並將分享犬貓領養成功故事，宣揚做個盡責寵物主人及尊重動物生命的理念。講座後，有意領養人士將由獸醫帶領前往澳門市政狗房參觀，與待領養動物互動，並留下領養意向等資訊。

講座每月於望廈山環境資訊中心舉辦一場，以粵語進行，費用全免。舉辦日期為一月十八日、二月八日、三月十四日、四月廿五日、五月三十日、六月廿七日、七月廿五日、八月廿二日、九月十二日、十月三十一日、十一月廿一日及十二月五日，舉辦時間均為上午十時至十一時十五分。有意者可於即日起透過“一戶通”報名，未滿十八歲人士須由成年監護人陪同。

此外，市政署設有“毛孩預備班”Facebook及Instagram領養專頁，每日推送待領養動物的圖片及影片，並恆常分享領養者心聲、犬貓醫療護理常識等內容，方便市民線上查閱。市政署將持續以“捕捉、絕育、領養”（TNA）模式，為流浪動物配對合適的領養家庭，以獲得長遠妥善的照顧。
