為響應5月21日“國際茶日”，市政署轄下澳門茶文化館將於5月16日首度舉辦「國際茶日嘉年華」，節目豐富多彩，設有攤位遊戲、品茗區、茶學堂、傳統工藝展示及猜猜茶謎等，融匯文化、茶藝、品茗、知識，打造一場具有中華文化之雅、茶韻之美的嘉年華活動，歡迎市民前往參加。
聯合國大會於2019年12月通過決議，將每年5月21日定為「國際茶日」，藉以向全球推廣茶文化。澳門在中國茶葉走向世界的過程中扮演了「遠東最早轉口港」與「文化門戶」的關鍵角色。早在1607年，荷蘭東印度公司開始經澳門販運中國內地茶葉往歐洲，從而在歐洲締造飲茶文化，茶歷史亦延伸至西方國家。澳門茶文化館作為全澳唯一以茶為主題的展示館，多年來致力推廣茶文化，除了定期舉辦不同活動外，今年突破常規，將於5月16日首度舉辦“國際茶日嘉年華”，以茶文化館為活動基地，並遍及盧廉若公園，將茶文化與蘇州園林景致結合。
整個活動以茶文化為核心、以中華文化為基礎，寓遊戲於教育。當日茶文化館內設有中華傳統工藝展示區，兩名內地專業工藝師親自示範紫砂茶具及廣彩茶具的製作過程，將國家級非物質文化遺產走入澳門社區；同層設有品茗區，免費供大家品嚐茶香。茶文化館內設有兩場創意茶罐工作坊及五場手工茶皂工作坊，讓大家認識茶文化的多樣性。此外，茶文化館外平台設有中華服裝體驗及特色裝置，供大家打卡留影。
盧廉若公園除了安排三個以茶為主題的攤位遊戲外，還特別設立猜猜茶謎區，猜中者可獲精美禮物一份，送完即止。專為茶文化愛好者而設的茶學堂，集講座、泡茶、品茶於一身，共設三場。
上述活動中，創意茶罐工作坊、手工茶皂工作坊及茶學堂須在“一戶通”免費報名，名額有限，報完即止。
開幕儀式將於5月16日下午3時在盧廉若公園百步廊舉行，並舉行茶罐彩繪比賽頒獎禮，該比賽已於今年第一季舉行，共廿二家學校近百名學生參加，設有冠、亞、季軍各一名，優異獎十名及入圍獎三十名，現場將展出得獎作品。
